How do you do? Calling Ladies of British or Commonwealth of Nations heritage. We’re a great gang of around thirty gals in the Alexandria area of Virginia who get together to have fun and do Britishy things.
This, the first Virginia chapter, is called Pimm’s and Poppies so that gives you a clue about our priorities! We started up in March 2017 and have had fun and raised money at the British Military Attache’s Garden Party, the British Embassy, spectacular productions of ‘A Christmas Carol’ and ‘Dracula’, an Afternoon Tea with Fashion Show, as well as regular meetings to discuss Royal weddings, British T.V. and bangers and mash!
To celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee we had a Pudding Competition and planted a tree. To commemorate her reign a member went to London to pay our respects.
